Storm King Mountain is on the west side of the Hudson River in Cornwall, NY.  This is the perfect hike for anyone who seeks amazing views of the Hudson River Valley but doesn't want to have to climb a giant mountain just to get them.  The trailhead is close to the summit of the beautiful Storm King, right off Route 9W, so you don't have to climb too far to make it to the top and enjoy some of the most spectacular sites the Valley has to offer.

All along the ridge of Storm King  the views across the river to the Hudson Highlands including Mount Beacon, Breakneck Ridge, the Catskill Mountains and river towns of the Hudson Valley are breathtaking. We are so used to hiking on the opposite side of the Hudson River and it is nice to get a perspective on what those mountains really look like.  If you have ever climbed Breakneck Ridge you know exactly what Storm King Mountain looks like, having a clear view of it throughout the whole way up.

The hike is 3-4 miles and worth every step you take.  We will be bringing our signature snacks; homemade hummus and a fresh, home baked good to munch on to keep our energy level high.  Come along with us on what we plan on being another amazing day in the Hudson Valley!
